John Kachelman left on
Monday, October 9, flying through Eastern Europe, and eventually
arriving in Donetsk. His trip this fall will focus on
following up on various containers that have been delivered and
distributed by local congregations to those in need. He will also be spending time teaching
in the local congregations to help strengthen their spiritual
resolve. Some of his teaching will also carry over into the
western part of Ukraine. He hopes to be able to help establish
one or two congregations in the western Ukraine where there have
been no congregations before.
In the past couple years, John has helped coordinate the shipment of
over 15 cargo containers to
Ukraine. These containers were collected and packed by various
congregations in the U.S. and sent over to help those in need in
Ukraine. The items were distributed by local congregations and
went to hospitals, clinics, orphanages, trauma centers, disabled
groups, and needy citizens. We continue to receive wonderful
comments on the distribution of these items. [Read
